A Birdhouse and a Dream

In a large clay pot on a friend’s balcony, a sweet little titbird built her nest.We only saw the chicks at first. To locate the mother, we played a tit’s call from a phone — and like magic, she answered, singing back to us from a nearby tree.
We immediately decided:We’ll build her a home in our own yard.
She visited twice. We watched, completely captivated.A pair of tits fluttered in and out, tirelessly feeding their young. We even saw tiny beaks peeking out of the little birdhouse door.
Last year… they didn’t come back.Perhaps they found another home.
For this painting, I created an animation using AI.
It brings their story to life — in color, in movement, in memory. For me, it’s a way to hold onto fleeting moments of beauty,to celebrate the quiet presence of nature, and to share that wonder — one frame at a time.
